The “How”

Assalamu Alaykum,

Time

The successful are those that can manage the affairs of time. It is the How to life.

The Directions to Success.

The management of time allows one to maintain focus.

Stress and Distractions pile up when time is not managed.

They eat away at the remembrance of Allah.

Allah reminds us…

Step 1

Wake up for Fajr!

Start your day off right! There are blessings in the morning. Leave your studies till the morning.

Do you feel like you don’t have enough time to accomplish all your goals?

You probably don’t stay up after fajr.

Step 2

Stay steadfast upon the 5 daily prayers!

Set your schedule around them. Every living thing needs maintenance and energy. Remembrance of Allah is the fuel for the believer. Five times a day we re-energize.

Step 3

Prioritize to become efficient!

Limited Ajr Opportunities. Make the best of them.

May Allah give me the ability to persuade people to what he has allowed me to realize, ameen.

Even if you only know one surah or one piece of advice, teach someone. At least you may benefit by holding yourself accountable to it.

The reminder is good for the believer.

A dialogue between Socrates and Crito

Socrates and his Students

Socrates and his Students

I am Socrates (haneefa). Crito is Tahir (confessor).

Socrates: Salam

Crito: Walaykum Salam

Socrates: It came to me in a dream

Crito: What came to you my friend?

Socrates: It was amazing, unlike anything I had ever seen.

Crito: Keep me in suspense no longer!

Socrates: A vision came to me that made this life so simple you see. All people, things, time, and space ripped from reality. No, rather to reality.

Crito: What reality do you speak of?

Socrates: I was blinded but now I can see.

Crito: Share the light!

Socrates: Life no longer exists in physical things. No more numbers and figures. Just Ajr opportunities.

Crito: I have a confession to make.

Socrates: Relieve your stress.

Crito: I know of a pious girl. One who would help me enter the eternal abode.

Socrates: What a magnificent Ajr opportunity!

Crito: and she’s attractive to me…

Socrates: that’s a must

Socrates: This actually reminds me of my dream again and the lingering thought that came from it.

Crito: What thought?

Socrates: That there is a scarcity of ajr opportunities

Crito: You’re such a wacko

Socrates: alhumdulillah

Crito: Even when you get married?

Socrates: Even then you will only live till it is written for you to go.

Crito: But I could just talk to my wife and gain ajr all day right?

Socrates: Yes if it makes her happy and there’s even ajr if you work out and look good for her.

Crito: I was never motivated before but I am now because of her.

Socrates: The wise would do it for more than just her and do it for themselves too. Don’t be afraid to earn ajr for yourself.

Crito: I’m quite confident that she will help me reach Jannah.

Socrates: Are you sure? She must be a competitor. You must ask her if she will compete with you for Jannah. If she is not strong enough then she will drag you down. What if her sins are too heavy? You will both sink.

Crito: I have never thought of it this way. Alas, competition seems to be the key to the Jannah degree.

Socrates: I have this crazy thought that always goes through my mind

Crito: Indulge me

Socrates: Have you ever thought or imagined that you could be the most amazing husband ever still lose to her because she gives birth to your child. There is an unfathomable amount of ajr for the woman in that, subhanAllah.

Crito: Most unfair! How can we men compete.

Socrates: My advise is to not let a second be wasted. I am far too competitive for her to win just like that :)

Crito: To be fair, Hell is dominantely women.

Socrates: You are competing with the best, your wife. Not with the rest.

Crito: As I think of this fair woman, I cannot imagine winning this competition with her.

Socrates: It is quite insane if you ask me. If you go for qiyam, she shares in the reward. If you go for jihad, she shares in the reward. If you die shaheed, she shares in the reward. If you give from your wealth, she shares in the reward.

Crito: Ahhhhh this competition is so exciting.

Socrates: It is when you choose right :) . Crito, she can be the best wife a man could ask for but you still have to believe that you will be better than her on the Day of Judgment. Otherwise you will sell her short. You will not have competed with her. The best of her will not shine through. Levels of Jannah will be left unclimbed.

Crito: Compete I shall!

Socrates: Let Allah be the limiter of your success. Toil and struggle till your last breath. Let Allah choose your station. Do not settle for anything but a complete effort. For there are a limited amount of Ajr opportunities. Do not waste. Do not hesitate. Do not delay.

tralala

masha'Allah love you tar tar binks

Shared Emptiness

Assalamu Alaykum,

Can shared emptiness feel full? Can two wrongs make a right? Does the company you keep really have influence over your life?

Ever been told the truth only to be negated by one of your friends. Ever had falsehood compounded by people who were also false?

It’s a scary thought but two wrongs can feel just right.

Why do we do the things that we do?

why? why? why?

why? why? why?

This was an email to the Precious Provisions project we are starting. In life there is plenty of who’s and what’s and when’s and where’s. The why is what you need to find. Search for it in the Qur’an. I found it in 59:20 but there are many surah’s and verses. Choose the one that defines your why.

The Why

Assalamu Alaykum,

Before we do anything for this project we must know WHY we are all here and why we are committed to this. Once we know why then we can figure out the what, where, when and How. This is your first intention check. Are we in it for the right reasons? It’s not too late to remake your intentions to a purer more beneficial one.

My intentions for joining this group have always been to gain the ajr and kheir. I have this desire and drive to be the best on the Day of Judgment. It comes from my understanding of verse 20 of surah al Hashr (59). The people of Hell and the people of Paradise are not equal; it is only the People of Paradise who have succeeded.

This is a clear statement that there will be difference between the successful and the unsuccessful. That means that there will be competition while we spend our time on this earth. That means that there will be winners and losers. That means that to the competitors will go the kheir!

I for one want to be the Best on the day of judgement. I want to be better than my family. Better than my friends. Better than any of you who are reading this email. I make no if’s, and’s, or but’s about it. However, this selfishness for the Akhira is the reason why I will also drag anyone and everyone around me to Jannah. The more we care about our akhira, the more we will be able to help those around us. We must struggle more that so the weaker ones around us have a helping hand. We must be able to carry our own weight and more so that we can raise our ummah together.

We must become the leaders. This is our why. This is my why. What is your why? Are you with me? The Train to the Dominance of Islam is leaving… Are you on it?

Blaze

The heart’s set ablaze

this ain’t no love sick mistake

No, this won’t lead to heartbrake

they doubt and they hate

forget everyone; happiness is at stake.

Let the competitors, compete, for His sake.

Who dares to surpass me? Who has what it takes?

Let it Burn out of control

Let it Burn out of control

Dialogue between Socrates and Plato

Assalamu Alaykum,

The Great Conversation

The Great Conversation

I am Socrates(haneefa). Plato is Osama (confused).  Aristotle is Haytham (bad).

Plato: Salam
Socrates: walaykum salam

Plato: Socrates, last night’s dream was unbelievable. I can’t stop the dreams. They are consuming me.
Socrates: Alhumdulillah

Plato: But I would really like it to stop.
Socrates: if you want it to stop then find inspiration from within. Your goals must shift. Your goals must shift from receiving happiness from others to self fulfillment. You must become happy from within instead of searching for it from others.

Plato: hmm…
Socrates: We will only be worth it; When we become worth it.
Plato: In all honesty, I wish for none of what my mind aspires to do in my dreams.
Socrates: By heavens, fool, such naivety have I never met. You still desire happiness through external sources. Women, roast, and wine.
Plato: Guilty as charged. I surely am blind.

Socrates: What say you Plato? What do you wish to accomplish in life?
Plato: I wish to leave a legacy of good behind. So that when people remember Plato, they remember with a smile.

Socrates: Have you heard but not listened? You still think as you thought a few moments ago. Take heed to my advice: You must internalize your happiness. You must wish to do good because it results in your happiness and success. They must have no effect, whomsoever maybe around you. For on that day of reckoning, when one will find himself trotting the barren earth most lonely, the only one answering for you will be thyself.
Plato: Nay! My sole reason for thinking in such ways is due to my own sins. Plundered and pillaged have I, many hearts. Betrayed many worthy friends. Destruction and chaos is more than a footnote, its my original sin.
Socrates: Oh fool! How can the kettle call the pot black! How can the sick cure a disease? Nay! You must save yourself before you can save another. You must change for yourself. You must find that inspiration to crawl out of the cave. Only once you know what is without can you go back in and help another.

Plato: Most obvious is this main goal and for that reason I wish to change in time. However, it has caused me to be stagnant and caused me to be left behind.
Socrates: Oh Criminal! You listen not and steal my time. Keep quiet for once and listen this time.
Plato: Aye, Aye!

Socrates: You can know something Intellectually but still not act upon it. You can know where to go but not how to go about it. Your thought process is of those whom have run into many detours. They diagnose the symptoms and rush to a solution. Looking only for quick fixes and short moments of happiness. They fix the symptoms overlooking the problem. How they wish to stop hurting people and how they wish to stop hurting inside. All this while the problem resides inside. The problem is within you, oh Plato. It is within me too. Only when you concentrate on the self will you be able to benefit mankind.
Plato: interesting…

Socrates: So what is your reason for living? What do you want from this life? and why?
Plato: In what aspect?
Socrates: You don’t know why? Then go slay yourself, fool. How can one live? without knowing why?
Plato: Jannah
Socrates: But why?
Plato: Because it is the end of pain and suffering and that is what Allah and his Messenger told us to do.
Socrates: “Because it is the end of pain and suffering” Now we are getting closer to the why.
Plato: continue…
Socrates: Not only are we guided but Allah and his Messenger tell us why! Surat Al Hashr verse 20. “Not equal are the dwellers of the Hellfire and the dwellers of Paradise; the dwellers of Paradise are the winners.”
plato: hmm…
Socrates: Who are we?
Plato: Muslims
Socrates: We are the winners! What are the winners? The best at everything we do in life. We are competitors and we must struggle to hold our resolve against anything and everything. We must be at the top of every field. You, Plato, and I must succeed. We have no other choice. We must remain competitors. For I love you Plato, but come the day of reckoning I want to be better than you. I wish to finish ahead of you and be more dearer and closer to Allah.
Plato: I can imagine…
Socrates: Here come the fruit I spoke of earlier. When we compete with each other we force one another to become better. If I have no drive then I cannot push you along with me. If I cannot find that fire within me, I cannot light the fire around me. If I cannot climb to the mouth of cave, I cannot drag you beside me. I wish to be the creme de la creme. No more chasing women, roast, or wine.
Plato: I’m starting to understand
Socrates: I plan to be the strongest man alive. I wish to memorize and recite the Qur’an so that my level in Jannah doesn’t stop rising till no one is in sight.
Plato: All I must do is compete…
Socrates: You mustn’t only compete! You must be a winner! You must succeed! Have you ever heard of this dua: Rabbana ‘atina fid dunya Hasana wa fil akarati Hasana wa kina adhab an nar. Do we reflect upon this? I believe it to be the answer for life. To be the best in this life, to be the best in akhira, and not be that loser that enters hell fire.
Plato: SubhanAllah! Right on the spot. I understand now. It is time for action for we talk way too much. We shall win, by the will of Allah!

Aristotle: Why am I even in this? Forget you guys, I’m going to Egypt.

Ashes Ashes We All Fall Down

So one day I was talking to a dear friend. He sounded familiar. Sounded just like someone I had once met. Full of joy, happiness and hope.  How his unloved beloved was ever nearer, he told. A month he said or maybe a little more. Engagement he explored, I wondered if I should ask him or should I assume there is more. I wondered and pondered and wondered some more. “I’ll just ask”, I decided. So I asked him, “does she even know?”. “know what?”, he asked. Does she know you want her so. He said not yet and I nearly fell over off my bed. He then exclaimed “Allah knows whats best and what is best for us”.

So then I warned him. I tried to point out to him how emotional he sounded. How every word he said had made it sound like she had already said yes. Even though she doesn’t even know yet. So I pointed out to him the contradiction in his thoughts. How he said he leaves it up to Allah but then limits Him to this. How basically he is a love sick fool who can’t afford to lose. A fool who has a feeling that he will lose and for this reason he goes forward with it. For once he loses he can start over again.

This is a sickness of our hearts. I have seen it with so many Muslim men. That we propose, knowing that we will be rejected. This is because we don’t want to succeed. We just want to blame someone else for our shortcomings. Instead of questioning ourselves as to why we were not good enough or what we can improve upon, we find faults in the process or the person or the family. In the end, our failures turn into this never ending crusade and we are martyrs every time.

It’s time for a change.

Self Intervention

A sickness of the heart is not so easy to see. That’s why they plague our societies. I for one didn’t notice it in me till a wee past 23. No one ever told me that my jealousy may become my enemy. Forcing me to be attached, emotionally. Never realizing the loss of symmetry in my own psychology. Head case I became instantly. Lost in my backwards philosophy. I saw nothing much in me. Hope for definition through her, of me. A love sick fool came out of me.

So then one day I said fayfay please. Get your psychosis back to symmetry. Everything you need is within you. No necessity for affinity of femininity. Led me to reality of my self frugality. My self worth was in negativity.  I needed some clarity and sincirity. Fought my demons and crucified my soul. Shattered the attachment and cured the common cold.

I need me.

Gaza Strip Club

Gaza Strip Club

It’s a disaster

Gaza got plastered

three weeks was all they needed

but they plotted and they planned

they gained the upper hand

Zionism at a grand stand

60 years in the making

to leave you breath taking.

So what did they do

who did they jew?

it was the Muslims

Muslims against Muslims

nationality was the issue

I’m Paki you’re Pali

you’re shami I’m masri

you just flat out disgust me

made the Muslim forget about his deen

made his religion secondary to the Queen

everybody throw down your colors

wave your flags and disrespect your own brothers

and no one cared for muslims everywhere

not the world not even their own people

so one day a Falastini said what?

that’s my people and I won’t give up

but they knew this

that humanity could do this

rebel against the superior

that was the job of the inferior

so they started to build a great wall

so that communication would take a great fall

so that families would be split apart

so that children going to school would lose heart

greatest terrorist act of them all

so in the hearts of the people did it only remain

falastine insha’Allah we will win

but the matter of fact is that its split

a check point at every minute.

so when the bombs started falling

what did the people say?

ya Allah protect ghaza

protect who’s in it

Humanitarian issue they made you believe

just limit it to falastini pity

why make it a Muslim issue?

why make everyone care?

do you not remember that Islam was the

reason anyone ever cared

Masjid Al Aqsa we all share

Islam brought you dignity

and Islam will bring you through this

remember we are brothers

remember it for it’s most true

if you forget what made you so respected

then respect

will forget you too.

No I’m not trying to diss you

I’m just trying to

make this a Muslim issue

make this about me and you.

Reality

Reality

Reality

life

you only live once

so have some fun

don’t act; be dumb

so what if you use and

abuse the word is similar

to choose to be something

in this life its like

wasting your time

and blaming your mind

for its weakness

and your superiority over this

world just makes me want to hurl

but then i get the sense that you

are just being modest and honest

you are superstar potential

but you have no credentials

laying there on your bed wondering if

what you have lived is a life?

or have you lived a mirage

walking into a two car garage

and boxes piled up with cape on it

so when the women pass by you can

lean on it

and of course imagination is stronger

than the reality

just think about what you think of me

the greater me is what you think of me

i am worse than you worst image of me

imagination is what makes life happen

if you dream it you can live it

you can tell a lie to yourself and believe it

achieved it and received it.

So what are you living for in this hologram of a life

this holographic sensation when you breath in

nothing but fiction but fiction is realer than the breath

that you took for the only thing that matters is your mind

in this mess.

So you mistook the last 20 years of your life

woke up in the matrix and betrayed all mankind

and now you live on the line

every moment can be your time and no one knows

but your Lord and wait what?

Did you just remember your lord

in the third stanza? wait what stanza ?

this is just a run on rant and i abhor grammar but

people died for the cause

no one remembers the sacrifice for the language

as no one remembers for who sacrificed for our cause

what is Islam and why are we here

matrix has been found and living is clear

Qur’an and Sunnah but it took me so many years

as i bring myself to some tears and overcome all my fears

I feel the need to turn my face to the east and kneel to my knees

and then i finally see the 0’s and 1’s

even ecstasy can’t compete with the blow

as i dream up this sweet

misunderstood soliloquy.
